چکیده

The industrial and environmental applications of laccase, especially in wastewater treatment, have gained focus recent years. Therefore, developing the proper laccase immobilization techniques, which could improve stability enzymes simplify required downstream processes, is needed. A novel two-step process was developed, resulting cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEA) pores membrane. Laccase adsorption on a biodegradable cellulose acetate microfiltration membrane along with cross-linking investigated to maximize load efficiency. optimization done regarding the: pH, temperature, concentration, time, cross-linker temperature. It concluded that highest efficiency (76%) be achieved acidic buffers at 29 °C high surface activity (1174 U·m?2) cost partial denaturation fouling. successfully utilized for enzymatic treatment diclofenac, 58% removal achieved. results indicated suitable carrier adsorption-based potential utilisation.

Cellulose Acetate Nanofiltration Membranes for Cadmium Remediation

In this work, cellulose acetate (CA) nanofiltration (NF) membranes were prepared via non-solvent phase inversion technique (NIPS). Polymer concentration was varied from 22 to 25 wt% in order to study its effect on the membrane properties. The fabricated membranes were characterized in terms of morphological analysis using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle, water content, water p...

Pebax-Modified Cellulose Acetate Membrane for CO2/N2 Separation

Carbon dioxide (CO2) release from the exhaust gas streams of power plants that burn fossil fuels contributes the most emission of this gas, which includes more than half of the greenhouse effects. Thus, the separation of CO2 from exhaust gases is one of the main environmental concerns. Membrane technology, due to many advantages, has attracted many research attentions among the various gas sepa...

Immobilization of Laccase Produced by Pycnoporus sanguineus for Reuse in the Remediation of Catechol

The catechol (1,2-dihydroxybenzene) can be oxidized by enzymatic action, and then turned into quinone. Laccase (EC 1.10.3.2) is an enzyme produced mainly by fungi of white decomposition, which contains copper, and catalyzes the oxidation of phenolic substrates by coupling the reduction of O 2 to water. The aim of this study is to evaluate the reutilization of Alginate Chitosan Laccase (ACL) bea...

Preparation and performance of cellulose acetate/polyethyleneimine blend microfiltration membranes and their applications

A modified microfiltration membrane has been prepared by blending a matrix polymer with a functional polymer. Cellulose acetate (CA) was blended with polyethyleneimine (PEI), which was then crosslinked by polyisocyanate, in a mixture of solvents. In the membrane, PEI can supply coupling sites for ligands in affinity separation or be used as ligands for metal chelating, removal of endotoxin or i...
